Abstract
This report gives an account of the burn problem experienced in Benghazi. It is based on a survey of 1769 patients with burn injuries seen in the burn unit of the University of Garyounis between January 1977 to December 1977. There were 368 patients with burns severe enough to require admission in the unit. The treatment and the results obtained, of all the burn cases studied during the survey, are discussed.
