Abstract

Blood alcohol was estimated in 200 drivers who were involved in car accidents. Approximately 10% of the drivers showed the presence of blood alcohol which ranged from 50—320 mg/100 ml of blood. Driving under the influence of alcohol although not a common occurrence, cannot be excluded as one of the factors which contribute to car accidents in this country.
