Abstract
Pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic parameters were estimated in a retrospective study using Bayesian analysis in conjunction with a Pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic model for Warfarin. Prediction of the international Normalisted Ratio (INR) using Bayesian analysis is in clinical use in many anti coagulant clinics with obvious time and money saving implications. We are encouraged by the outcome of this study, but before we can rely on it locally, a study of Pharmacodynamic of Warfarin in Libyan patients is essential. Prediction of the (INR) in forty-five patients was less Biased and more precise when compared with the measured values of INR at 4th and 6th day.
