Abstract

This is the first case of bisphosphonate related osteonecrosis of the mandible in a Libyan patient with review of the literature. The patient was a 78 years old man who presented with an exposed unhealed extraction socket with a history of bisphosphonate therapy for prostate cancer. The case was managed by local debridement, antibiotic and antiseptic irrigation.
