Abstract

Camel red blood cells (CRBCs) were used to prepare indirect haemagglutination (IHA) reagent whose sensitivity was compared with the reagent prepared from sheep red blood cells (SRBC5) for the diagnosis of human hydatid disease. CRBCs settled quickly and showed higher antibody titres than SRBCs in the IHA test in hydatidosis.
