Abstract

A case of chronic osteomyelitis of left mandibular ramus, with apurulently discharging sinus in the angle region since three years, was successfully treated. A part from the rare occurrence of the condition there were some peculiar features of this case. The posterior half of the ramus appeared completely destroyed. Only the condyle and a narrow band of bone, just below the sigmoid notch, seemed to be left intact. The case and the treatment carried out are described and discussed.
