Abstract

A case of congenital absence of penis and urethra associated with congenital bilateral anorchia and persistent cloaca is reported. An attempt was made to save the baby by transverse colostomy and suprapubic cystostomy. However the baby died 23 hours after birth. The literature is reviewed and the embryological explanations are discussed.
