Abstract

The incidence of ectopic pregnancy in the eastern part of Libya is assessed in this article. 210 cases of ectopic pregnancy occurring in a period of 9 years (1978-1986) are analyzed. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy is found to be 1 in 690 live births. Fallopian tube was the commonest site. The average age, gravidity and parity for ectopic pregnancy are 27.9 years and 1.9 respectively. No deaths were recorded in the present series. author’s modified
