Abstract

A random study of 2804 cervical smears, which were taken from 2690 patients during a period of 16 months, was conducted. Cytological screening showed that the main pathological finding was the inflammation (78.7%). Cervical carcinoma represented 0.2%. The relationship between the clinical symptoms and the cytopathological findings are discussed.
