Abstract

The premises of Gynecologic and Obstetric Ward of the Central Hospital in Zuara were tested on pathogene microflora particularly in view of more intensive circulation of microorganisms on visiting days, possibly. Blood agar plates (72 cm’) were exposed to air for 6 hours in different parts of the Ward (delivery hail, surgery, patients’ rooms). The prevailing organisms were Staphylococcus Albus and Staphylococcus Pyogenes. In vitro, these microorganisms were susceptible to Tetracycline, Ampicylin and Nitrofuran. No Salmonella or Shigella were isolated, that are on the contrary quite frequent in delivery wards of many European countries.
