Abstract
Ovarian vein thrombosis (OVT) is mainly associated with the puerperium or with gynaecological surgery. OVT can be seen as a complication of pelvic inflammatory disease. It may also be seen in cases of coagulation disorders. We present an idiopathic case of OVT with no definite precipitating aetiology. Prompt recognition of this condition on imaging is important for guiding proper clinical management.
