Abstract
The study analyzed the responses of mothers of 300 healthy infants born between January 1978 and August 1980, in a city in Libya. Although breast feeding is still a popular method of infant feeding, an increasing number of mothers of younger age group, with smaller families, and from educated strata, are opting for formula feeding. A considerable number of mothers are using formula milk with breast feeds.
