Abstract

52 patients with varied manifestations of herpetic corneal involvement were studied for the effect of lodoxuridine (IDU) and Vidarabin. Vidarabin, a comparatively newer antiviral drug is equally effective as IDU but in chronic recurrent cases of herpetic ulceration a combined therapy of IDU and Vidarabin was found to be quite effective for healing of the ulcers.
