Abstract

The problem of acute knee instabilities following ligament injuries has been presented. Factors for missing these injuries at an early stage and the significance of early diagnosis and treatment has been discussed. A simple classification of knee instabilities has been described. Six cases of acute knee instability have been presented. It is suggested that the definite diagnosis of the nature of the injuty should be established before giving any type of treatment.
