Abstract
Two cases of the old unreduced fractures of the neck of the talus with complete dislocation of its body treated by open reduction and internal fixation are reported.
The literature on the subject is briefly reviewed and the management ,post operative complications and follow-up are discussed.
It is suggested that in 4 to 6 weeks old fracture dislocations open reduction and internal fixation produces better results than those of the talectomy.
