Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus and dyslipidaemias have strong and tight associations with each other. In this study of 81 diabetic patients, we observed 42% having normal or above normal H.D.L and cholesterol levels with a lower incidence of coronary artery disease (CAD) and increased incidence of diabetes mellitus type 2 in families owing to marriages within the family tribes.
Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, dyslipidaemias, HDL-cholesterol (High Density Lipid-cholesterol).
