Abstract

Prolapse of fetus parts ranks among the most serious complications in delivery. Different etiological factors have been mentioned as causes of this condition. Of 3961 deliveries in 34 cases delivery was carried out by reposition (7), vacuum extraction (7), twist and extraction (5) and caesaratomy (15). This procedures resulted in 26 live births and 6 dead, while two babies died after caesarotomy. Total perinatal mortality was 23.2%. No mother died. Multiparity still ranks as the main cause of prolapse of small parts of fetus. Available medical facilities and distance to hospital are highly relevant for these complications.
