Abstract

A Prosthesis as a substitute of a thumb is usually discarded, as it has no motion and no sensation. We described a case of traumatic total loss of a thumb and its reconstruction by the neurovascular pedicle method of digital transposition in a 40 year old male, with movability, functioning position of opposition with intact faculty of stereognosis.
