Abstract

105 ophthalmoogy patients were included in this study. The effect of phenylephrine dihydrochloride, 10%; Mydriacyl, 1%; Cyclophtholate HCJ, 1%; and homatropine HBr, 2%, were compared regards time for initial dilatation, time and size for maximal dilatation, both in male and female andin three different age groups. Recommendations of the choice of the appropriate mydriatic for a given case are outlined on the basis of these results.
