Right lower lobe resection for bronchiectasis in Kartagener´s Syndrome

Abstract

A young boy with Kartagener´s syndrome who suffered from sever bronchiectasis of the right lower lobe is described. Due to chronic abcedation, which failed to respond to medical therapy, resection of the right lower lobe was performed. There was a clinical improvement post-operatively although he had to be treated for recurrent infections.
