Abstract
The results of a prospective study of a small series of two cases of acute, and eight cases of severe chronic slipped capital femoral epiphysis, treated by open replacement of the displaced femoral head in non-caucasian patients, are presented (8). These results appear to show that the frequency of avascular necrosis are not different to that reported in caucasians.
