Abstract

Spontaneous remission in acute leukemia is extremely unusual. We present a case of B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia that hematological laboratory values were normalized without antileukemic therapy. Five (5) months later, the patient presented with an overt leukemia (FAB L2). Although the mechanisms of spontaneous remission remain unclear, complex immunological reactions may play a role.
