Abstract

In this world of machines the commonest cause of severe head injuries is road traffic accidents (R.T.A.). The type and extent of injuries after R.T.A. vary from country to country and depends on the condition of roads, size and type of car used, the rules and regulations of the traffic, and the driving habits of the population.
The purpose of this retrospective study is to determine the influence of multiple trauma on the outcome of the severely head-injured patient.
