Abstract

The aim of antiepileptic drug (AD) therapy is to obtain maximal control of epileptic seizures with minimal side effects. AED may cause significant toxic effect on different brain function without clinical evidences of such toxicity. Toxic effect of AED should be expected, even the drug blood level is within the therapeutic ranges will help in the prevention of more serious irreversible changes.
