Abstract

This study shows and discusses the results of X-ray, laboratory investigations and four different regimes of treatment in fifty tuberculous meningitis children. On X-ray slightly more than half the children had active chest TB, of whom 20% had miliary TB. Skull X rays showed increased intracranial tension in 16% of cases. CSP examination showed interesting results according to the stage of the disease and during the follow up. In relation to the treatment of those children, four regimes were adopted. Comparison of the clinical course and the results of treatment are demonstrated.
