Abstract

Ulcerative proctocolitis is a disease of unknown etiology, and difficult to manage, Here we discuss 16 patients, all are Libyans, who were detected among 1, 385 patients seen in gastroenterology clinic under the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Benghazi. Hoping to throw some light on a disease that was thought to be very rare in this part of the world, due to lack of literature on the subject, as compared to the western world.
