Abstract

This is an analysis of two and half years of our work with reference to the problem of uterus rupture, in particular. It is suggested that indications for operative completion of delivery should be extended. Percentage of caesarotomies was 4.51 and percentage of repeated caesarotomies 11.76. Out of total number of deliveries, there were O.5% uterus ruptures, while 19.20% of caesarotomy scar ruptures. Very high percentage of ruptures was recorded in Azelet settlement. In 88.46% of uterus ruptures, hysterctomy was performed. Percentage of dead births was 26.93%. Relatively low rate of dead born is explained by high percentage of incomplete uterus ruptures. On one case the fatal end ensued after diffuse peritonitis and another after anuria following bilateral ureter ligation.
