Abstract

Micro-ELISA using saliva samples gave higher optical density (O.D.) values of 0.108 (0.075 to 0.125) and 0.132 (0.065 to 0.115) amongst amoebic Liver abscess and intestinal ameobiasis cases respectively than normal controls of 0.061 (0.045 to 0.085) for specific immunglobulin A (S IgA).
