Abstract
Lavamisol was found to be a most effective drug in the treatment of human Ascariasis. A cure rate of 97.5% was obtained in a series of 120 patients using a single oral dose of 2.5 mg/kg without fasting or purging. There were only 3 failures , who were all cured by a second dose of the drug one week later. The drug was well-tolerated, and no side-effects were observed.
