Abstract
Snoring is a sound generated during sleep, it can affect all people at any age, and may be worsen with age. However, the habitual snorers not only disrupt the sleep patterns of those in close contact, but also they disturb themselves. Medical assistance is usually needed for habitual snorers to get a good night’s sleep. The huge soft palate and Waldeyr’s ring is considered the major cause of snoring. We report a 43 years old female patient, hesitated to be listed for elective plastic surgical intervention. She was seeking a conservative way just to reduce nuisance. The purpose of this treatment is to prevent snoring at night by using a modified orthodontic removable appliance with palatal bow. It could be concluded that the use of a modified orthodontic removable appliance with palatal bow appears promising.
